It was a windy but warm day on Monday - December 4th - so we decided to do some short video updates on the progress of the new 6-12 campus.
In order to get the videos posted quickly - they are unedited so you will hear the wind and sounds of construction equipment. The clips will be edited and combined with photos for a future video chronicling the progress of the campus.
The $90 million project is on time and on budget. Community members are watching the progress of the construction as the campus takes shape. The video clips from 12/4/17 show the stadium and tiered seating leading to the field, the fieldhouse construction and the preparation for the artificial turf. The base layer for the track is done.
The floor is being poured for the seating for the Performing Arts Center. Picture our students in the completed Performing Arts Center performing their holiday concerts as parents, grandparents and community members enjoy comfortable seating in a venue created to showcase their talent.
Our eagle athletes will be able to come back home in the fall of 2018 and play their football and soccer games on the new turfed field. Our students will compete and run on the new track.
The walls are being primed and painted. Some of the cabinets and casework are installed in the workrooms and labs.
Most importantly, our students grades 6 through 12 will be learning in a 21st century facility!
Stay tuned as we continue to post videos of the progress on the inside of the building.
