ONE BOOK, ONE SCHOOL

Students will receive the book as a class and have it for two weeks (three for fourth graders) to get a good start on their reading. The book is also available on CD. Students who read the book will pass the test and be eligible to attend the movie at a special showing for Maple students. This gives students a chance to review both the print form and the media form and practice making critical assessments of the advantages and disadvantages of each form. A last-minute administrative decision to restructure finances has caused a change of plans. Generous donations from PTA and other concerned donors have allowed us to provided each of the deserving students with a ticket to attend the movie, on their own. We are extremely grateful to those who made it possible to reward our hardworking children.
