February 2012

February brings about an exciting month of the
school year, yet it is also one of the more difficult months for students to remain focused academically. We are in
the midst of the winter season, and although this winter has been mild by our usual northeast Ohio standards, the grey skies and colder temperatures often make their way into the school in the form of a loss of academic focus. How do we combat this? By working together to stress the importance
of being in school every day, and by keeping focus on the academic side of school. Third quarter often brings a
drop in grades somewhat. Let’s all be on the lookout for this, and try to keep the students academically focused as we
move through the month.

The scheduling process for next school year has begun. Please discuss your child’s proposed schedule choices for the 2012/2013 school year with them. Once we receive the schedule requests, we will make certain all the prerequisites have been met, including all required
signatures. We will double check for accuracy, and then schedule the students.  Please remember that staffing decisions and class availability are be determined by student enrollments. Thus, once schedules are inputted, they are not changed. Please spend some time with your son’s and
daughter’s to discuss the schedule, and contact us for assistance as well.

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for
February 15 and February 23, 2012.  Hope to see you there.

Go Eagles!

Jeff
