An Eagleteer is a 3rd grade student volunteer, who wants to help others and make a positive difference to their peers and younger students. As a part of this student leadership program the focus will be on encouraging its members in self-confidence, instilling responsibility and developing leadership skills.
Students fill out an application to be considered for this club. Our first Eagleteers will serve for 4 1/2 months, and then a second group will finish out the school year.
What will an Eagleteer do?
* Assist Kindergarten students at dismissal
* Help maintain hallway behavior, especially at the end of the day
* Volunteer to help or greet at Butternut events
* Promote citizenship at Butternut
* Meet with the club advisor monthly for leadership discussion topics
(role models; communication; respect; honesty; fairness)
Being an Eagleteer will give our students some basic and necessary tools to start them on their journey to becoming a GREAT LEADER!
